How to Connect Gong to Von

This guide will walk you through connecting your Gong account to Von for conversation intelligence and call transcript analysis.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  1. Admin access to Gong - Required to generate API credentials

  2. Von account - Active account at https://app.vonlabs.ai

Step-by-Step Integration Guide

Step 1: Access Von Chat

  1. Navigate to https://app.vonlabs.ai/

  2. Log in to your Von account

Step 2: Open Settings

  1. Go to https://app.vonlabs.ai/settings

  2. Look for the integrations section

Step 3: Initiate Gong Connection

  1. Click the "Connect Gong" button

  2. You will see fields requesting:

    • Access Key

    • Access Key Secret

Getting Your Gong API Credentials

Step 4: Log in to Gong

  1. Open a new browser tab

  2. Go to your Gong account and log in


Step 5: Navigate to API Settings

  1. In Gong, go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Company Settings → API
    ​


Step 6: Generate API Key

  1. Click the "Create" or "Get API Key" button

  2. Gong will generate:

    • Access Key (also called Client ID)

    • Access Key Secret (also called Client Secret)

  3. Important: Copy both credentials immediately - the secret will only be shown once!
    ​


Step 7: Enter Credentials in Von

  1. Return to the Von Settings tab

  2. Paste the Access Key into the first field

  3. Paste the Access Key Secret into the second field

  4. Click "Save integration"


Step 8: Verify Connection

Once connected, you should see:

  • A confirmation message indicating successful integration

  • Your Gong instance listed as connected

What Happens After Connection:

Von loads the last 2 years of call transcripts from your Gong account into a vector database. This makes your entire conversation history quickly searchable and queryable, allowing Von to provide instant insights from your sales calls, customer conversations, and meeting transcripts.
