What is it?
Rattle Private Channels are an alternative delivery method for direct messages.
How is it set up?
When selecting a recipient for your workflow, if you select a Salesforce user field (ex: Owner, Created By, etc.) the option to deliver the message via private channel will present.
Checking the "Private Channel" checkbox will create a slack channel for the recipient with a channel name that corresponds to the workflow name. All alerts generated from this workflow will be directed to their private channel.
When to use it?
Sending too many different alerts as DMs can result in recipients overlooking important messages or being uncertain of which messages require action. Generating a private channel for specific workflows can help make it clearer to the recipient when their attention is needed and what action they should take.
