What is it?
The Deal Room Bookmarks feature is the automatic generation of slack bookmarks for the principal SFDC records related to the deal room.
When to use it?
This feature provides a shortcut to the relevant SFDC object from the channel itself. If a user wants to review an opportunity or take an action not included on a Rattle notification in the channel, this shortcut allows them to quickly access the relevant record without wasting time searching in SFDC!
How is it set up?
There is no set up necessary for this feature. When a deal room is created, a link to the principal object (Ex: Account) will be created and automatically added to the slack channel.
How does it work?
When a new deal room is created a bookmark will automatically be created for the principal object that trigger the creation of the deal room. This bookmark is a hyperlink and will be present for all members of the channel to use to view the object in SFDC.
Additional Information
If your deal room trigger has the Opportunity as the principal, but is also configured to route all opportunities related the account to that channel, a bookmark will be created for all subsequent opportunities added to the channel.
You can also manually add bookmarks to any slack channel - a handy feature, especially in deal rooms!
