Pre-requisites:
You'll need these prerequisites to allow Rattle to send you Meeting Intelligence (MI) alerts.
1. Rattle Account access:
The user needs to have either Super Admin or Admin permissions. Zoom once integrated would be enabled for all users.
Sample meeting summaries will be generated only when the meeting organizer has integrated their Zoom account with Rattle.
2. Zoom Owner/Admin:
The Zoom account being used should be an Owner or Admin account. Rattles cannot fire with a Member account.
To check your access level, click here to sign into your Zoom account>User management>Users.
3. View/Edit recording permission
The Zoom account owner will need to enable the following two permissions for their entire account:
Recording management - View or edit recordings of meetings hosted by users in the account.
View the recording content - View, download, and share any recording content in the account.
Within the Zoom web app, navigate to ADMIN -> User Management -> Roles -> Admin -> Account Management to change these settings.
4. Cloud recording permissions:
Meetings will need to be stored in the Zoom cloud, and not your local system for Meeting Intelligence to function. You'll need to turn on the following 4 permissions:
Cloud recording (enable this section)
Any one of:
Record active speaker with shared screen
Record gallery view with shared screen
Record active speaker, gallery view, and shared screen separately
Record audio-only files - Record one audio file for all participants
Advanced cloud recording settings:
Create audio transcript
Save closed caption as a VTT file
On a few occasions, we’ve noticed that the ‘Audio Transcripts’ functionality is disabled for users. In such cases, please reach out to Zoom to have it enabled.
You can find these permissions by logging into your Zoom admin account on your web browser>My Account> Account Management>Account settings>Recording.
5. A note on translations:
Zoom automatically generates an audio transcript for calls spoken in the English language. MI will use this transcript to generate a call summary.
For any other foreign language, the meeting host will need to manually enable closed caption in the call language, at the start of each call. Unfortunately, Zoom's closed captions don't capture speaker notes, so MI won't be able to identify which speaker said each sentence, but the summary generated will still capture all points discussed during the meeting.
Rattle currently offers support for French, Spanish, and Portuguese, for MI summaries.
And that's it! You're all set to integrate your Zoom, and build Meeting Intelligence workflows!
