Instead of managing the approval process via email alerts and multiple Salesforce logins, you can send it as a Slack alert with Rattle.

Approval alert in action in Slack

Configuration

  • Go to "Approvals", and click the button "Create Approval". Mention the "Approval Name" to get started.

  • Search for your salesforce approval process in the search box, and select it

  • Click the "Add Step" button and configure the slack message body for each of the steps for this approval process. You decide what fields you want to show and who should get this message at every step of the process.

  • You can send out an alert to the approval process initiator once everyone has approved or rejected their request by turning on the toggle button. Again, you can customize this message.
