This article will tell you:

  • What is a Rattle sandbox account

  • How to set up a Rattle Sandbox account

Rattle sandbox account

A Rattle sandbox account is an isolated environment that let's you experiment and play around with the Rattle platform. You can test out your integrations, add users, and create workflows. It's a safe space for you to connect your CRM sandbox accounts, add live data and experience how Rattle automates your revenue processes.

Setting up a Rattle sandbox account

Go to the link app.gorattle.com/join to create an account, and follow the steps below.

1. Create a +sandbox ID

  • Use your company email ID, but add a +sandbox suffix. For example, if your work email ID is john@abccompany.com, type in john+sandbox@abccompany.com. This will create a unique user login, but still route communication through your official work email.

  • Similarly, when entering your company name create a company name that makes it easy to identify that this is the sandbox account. For example, ABC Company sandbox.

Since you've entered a unique company name, you will be assigned the Super Admin. Learn about the different roles here.

2. Salesforce sandbox account

Once you have entered this information and clicked Submit, you will be redirected to the Integrations page of your Rattle web application. Follow the steps below to integrate your Salesforce Sandbox account.

  • First, make sure you've logged out of all SFDC accounts. Rattle will integrate the most recent Salesforce login.

  • On the Salesforce integration card :

    • Click the Integrate Sandbox button. This will redirect you to test.salesforce.com and prompt you to log into your SFDC sandbox account.

    • Note: When you click the Integrate button, you'll be redirected to login.salesforce.com. There, you'll see a list of your Salesforce profiles to log in. You can also select your sandbox account from this list for integration, but we recommend using the Integrate Sandbox option.

Your Production SFDC instance and Sandbox SFDC instance have different Org IDs, allowing Rattle to differentiate between messages triggered in the Sandbox vs. Production.
