Board - Filtering a view

Filters help you find relevant data. All fields within an object can be used to refine the data view.

Click on the 'Filters' section on the top right corner to control filters.

Three methods to filter your data:

Using a specific object

Use this method to update a specific object.

  • Select the field you wish to filter by.

  • Then the filter condition. This condition varies based on the field type.

  • The condition varies based on field type

  • Click on ‘Apply filters’.

Certain fields cannot be used for filtering data. These fields won’t be visible to you in the fields dropdown.

Using data from a cross-object

Select fields from other objects to make edits to a view under a specific object.

  • Click on ‘Select cross object fields’ to select fields from other objects.

  • Select the filter condition. This condition would vary based on the field type.

  • Click on ‘Apply filters’.

By adding condition groups

Add multiple condition groups to set up filters for a cleaner view.

  • Select the operator (and/or) and click on ‘Add condition groups’ on the Filters popup in the bottom left corner.

You can keep changing the operator even after setting up the condition.

Filter Removal

Remove a condition group and individual conditions inside a group.

Individual conditions in a group :

  • Click on the ‘x’ icon next to the condition.

  • Condition group: Click on the ‘Remove group’ button.

You can remove all filters at once by clicking on ‘Remove default filters’.
